Professional Arborist Consulting Fees
The following fee ranges are provided to support early budgeting and project planning. Final fees are confirmed following review of project scope, site conditions, and required deliverables.
All services are provided on a consulting basis only. Fees reflect professional assessment, analysis, and documentation prepared by ISA Certified Arborists holding the Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ) and Tree Appraisal Qualification (TAQ).
Typical Fee Ranges
Tree Protection Plans (TPPs)
Tree Protection Plans (TPPs) outline measures to protect existing trees during construction. Pricing includes a site plan drawing, two revision rounds and one on-site flagging visit within 30 km of Edmonton.
Up to 2 Municipal Trees: $450
Each Additional Municipal Tree: $150 per tree
Private-Tree-Only Tree Protection Plan: From $380
Final fees depend on site complexity, access constraints and municipal submission requirements. Additional revisions or site visits beyond the included scope may be billed if the project changes.
Tree Preservation Plans
Tree Preservation Plans address development impacts such as excavation, grade change, and root disturbance near retained trees. Fees are typically tiered based on the number of affected trees:
Up to 5 trees: $1,450
6–15 trees: $2,300
16–30 trees: $3,250
31+ trees: quoted
Scope, mitigation requirements, and coordination needs may influence final fees.
Tree Inventories & Tree Management
Tree inventory services typically start at $650 for up to 10 trees, with additional trees billed at approximately $30 per tree. Tree management recommendations and prioritization are available as an add-on depending on project needs.
Tree Risk Assessments
Standalone Tree Risk Assessment: $275 per tree, including the written report. Includes an on-site tree risk assessment and a written report documenting the assessment findings, risk rating and recommendations for the assessed tree.

Tree Health & Risk Assessment Add-On: $85 per tree. Available as an add-on to eligible consulting assignments where the required site assessment and reporting can be incorporated into the primary project scope.
Tree Valuation / Appraisal
Tree valuation services typically start at $395 for a single tree. Group valuations range from approximately $1,250 to $2,250+, depending on the number of trees, valuation methodology, and documentation requirements.
